Fall is my favorite time of the year 🍂🎃

I had to share a few of my favorites as we get ready for Fall. I can’t get enough of the cool crisp air, campfires, hiking, and endless festivals. My husband would say Football 🏈 With the seasonal change we tend to wear deeper, jewel toned colors. So when Beautycounter came out with Flawless in Five. I knew I wanted a Fall look and went for Fig! I was nervous that with my fair skin it would be too dramatic, as the color is pretty intense in the tube. But it goes on so neutral and pretty! Sienna would be really pretty for color for Fall too. It’s more of a burnt auburn color.

You either love them, or you hate them. Well I love me a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice LatteI get it with about a third of the syrup as I find all their drinks way too sweet. The only Starbucks drink I regularly order is a Grande Cold Brew with one pump vanilla with cream on the side. But I do need to get my Pumpkin Spice Latte (and maybe a Salted Caramel Latte too) fix a couple times during the Fall season.

Xhilaration Dress

Y’all, this dress! I think Target has the cutest and most affordable dresses. The problem I usually run into is being between sizes, or everything is sleeveless and I just don’t like showing off my arms. Usually I need to go up in size to fit my chest, but then it’s too big around my waist and looks a little moo mooish and about 30 lbs heavier than I am. But this dress is a perfect fit! There’s a snap at the top of the v-neck and I add fabric tape for a little extra protection. I picked the fabric tape up in the next department over near bras and shapewear. This tape holds up really well and I can see myself using it all season with my button up flannels too. It comes up about mid-thigh or so on my 5’4ish frame. Not quite as short as the model shown here. This dress is the perfect transition into fall as it’s great for warmer days in September with short and simple frilly sleeves. Perfect for coolish days into October too paired up with knit tights, boots, and a cardigan. Don’t you think the wine and burnt orange are the prettiest Fall color combo?

  1. Soooo, I know this is so against the norm but I hate the PSL from Starbucks. Lol. I did a “blind taste test” last year from various chains. Basically I copied this from a Cosmopolitan snapchat story where they bought PSL from a bunch of different chains, blindfolded themselves and tried to guess where they were from and also rate the best tasting one. Starbucks came in last 🙁 and McDonalds came in first. I totally agree. I tried them all and McDonalds tastes the best. Maybe because it’s loaded with sugar! Lol.

    • Ha, I LOVE my local coffee shops better. But even then sometimes I have to be sure they aren’t too sweet. I totally forgot McDonald’s had it too and should get my fix from them at least once 😂 But yeah, too much sugar triggers a migraine for me 😕

  2. You are on a slippery slope! What started with me asking for “half pumps” at Starbucks led to me only going to local coffee shops with house-made syrups, but eventually I started feeling like the syrups got in the way of the flavor of the coffee….now that I don’t prefer sweet lattes, I would not drink a Starbucks latte even if it were free, lol. Now we have an espresso machine at home…I buy locally roasted espresso beans and drink a plain latte for breakfast every morning! 😀
